While this is true, you would have probably also experienced how your mood lifts when you put on that new pretty dress, try on that shade of lipstick that perfectly matches your summer glow, or when you are having a fantastic hair day. Looking at yourself in the mirror and loving what you are seeing can significantly impact your mood, which in turn impacts your happiness, day to day activities, and attitude in the face of difficulty.

However, you probably would have noticed that if you are feeling happy, and have a big smile across your face, you also are suddenly getting more compliments on your physical appearance.

Our health and well being are closely interlinked with how others, and we see each other.

This is why you should invest time not only to your beauty routine but take care of your inner peace. Here are five ways easy ways to take care of yourself on the inside, so the beauty shine right on out.

  1. Stay Scheduled but Not Overworked

It’s fantastic to have a busy day with many things to prepare for, look forward to and keep you occupied.  However, in modern society, we tend to overwork ourselves and squeeze in activities into every moment of the day. Try and have less to do on your to-do list. This will help you feel a sense of accomplishment when finishing it, while minimising stress.

  1. Spend time with people you love

Your friends and family can bring enormous light and love into your life, so you need to make sure to set some quality time aside to spend with them. Chasing money or fitness would mean much less if you did not have those wonderful people to spend your life with.

  1. Choose Happy friends

When it does come to spending time with your friends, pick people who lift you up and make you feel good. They say you are the accumulation of the four people you spend the most time with, so chose people who are positive and kind. You will find your own mood reflect their attitudes and views of the world.

  1. Keep Moving

There is a reason exercise is addictive, and for any of us who feel that rush of endorphins after a workout know exactly why. Exercise does not only improve our cardiovascular health, tone our muscles, help us live longer, and make us look better, it also improves our mood, memory, and sleep. Try and get at least 30 minutes of cardio every day. Whether this is a quick run, long walk with the dogs in the park, playing a friendly game of volleyball, a dance class, or a session at the gym.

  1. Be mindful of what you eat

We truly are what we eat. The cells that make up our food become the fuel of regeneration for our own cells. Therefore, you want to opt for clean and healthy foods to give your body the best building blocks. It’s quite simple, choose fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water, and avoid processed foods.
